Michelle Paige is a certified Health & Wellbeing Coach for Lakida LLC. In her role as coach, she helps women navigate obstacles that come with aging and menopause. This profession has also helped to fuel her personal joy in sharing her health and wellness expertise with others. Through integrity, passion, and personal drive she is in constant pursuit of helping others reach their goals on this journey called life.
Before joining LAKIDA LLC, Ms. Paige served as the Vice President of Community Relations, Programs & Corporate Events at EmblemHealth, in New York City, where she provided support for the state’s growing population of unpaid family caregivers who administer care daily for their loved ones. She assisted these individuals by providing them with resources through a variety of services, programs and initiatives to help ease the burden of caregiving. During her career, she has also focused on evidence-based programs that promote healthy living, with a concentration on childhood obesity and stress –related ailments. Having spent her career working for hospitals and healthcare providers to improve people’s health, Ms. Paige is now expanding her focus to work with women who need guidance around adopting daily habits one healthy habit at a time through her coaching practice.

As New York’s First Lady, in partnership with her then husband Governor David Paterson, Ms. Paige’s public service efforts included working to turn the fitness challenge she created for her home community of Harlem into a statewide initiative called “Healthy Steps to Albany: First Lady’s Challenge”. The program challenged middle school students to lead healthy lifestyles through exercising and healthy eating. Through collaboration with New York schools, state agencies and community organizations this program aimed to foster positive healthy changes in children’s lives.
Ms. Paige has made numerous speaking engagements throughout the U.S. and internationally while serving as First Lady. Michelle has given speeches and inspirational seminars on topics ranging from childhood obesity to community health and the need for diversity in medicine. Michelle currently speaks about women’s empowerment and the importance of Knowing your Value.
Ms. Paige served as a Board Member of Change Create Transform, an organization that leverages the intellectual capital of experts in various fields to help businesses succeed and grow. She is also an Advisory Board Member of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine- Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs, and is an Advisory Board Member of the Common Good: a non-partisan information and public advocacy organization of media, business, arts and entertainment communities.
Ms. Paige is a member of the Links, Incorporated; a national women’s organization that enhances the quality of life programs in communities across the country. Ms. Paige’s community service activities include assisting victims of domestic violence. She spent three years as an on –call volunteer at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital where she counseled injured domestic violence victims in the emergency room about the services available through various hospitals and state government programs.
Qualifications and Credentials
Michelle Paige has a M.S. in Health Services Management from the Milano Graduate School (New School) in New York City and a B.A. from Syracuse University. She recently received her Professional Certification Certificate in Executive Leadership Coaching from Rutgers University.
