You asked how you know your values.
They are the instinctual choices during “decisive moments”.
One day in elementary school I was on a seesaw with another child. He decided to use his size to literally “keep me up in the air”.
The bully called the other children over to see his trick.
He encouraged some with pet peeves with me to pile on his side making it impossible for me to come back down. One was upset, I was a better student and got more teacher attention. The father of another was fired by mine for incompetence etc.
The principle walked by and thought it was amusing.
